Andrew Lincoln has been a fan favorite of the hit show “The Walking Dead” since Season 1, but critics have failed to take notice of his performance as walker killer and leader, Rick Grimes. On Wednesday, May 22, nominations for The Critics’ Choice Awards were announced and Andrew Lincoln is in it, finally!

“The Walking Dead” star is up for Best Actor in a Drama Series category, this would be his first ever nomination. Also nominated in the category is Bryan Cranston for “Breaking Bad,” Damian Lewis for “Homeland,” Timothy Olyphant for “Justified,” Matthew Rhys for “The Americans,” and Kevin Spacey for “House of Cards.”

Andrew Lincoln’s biggest competition is Bryan Cranston for his performance in “Breaking Bad,” especially since the last season of the show is coming up. Cranston has won many awards before though, including Critics’ Choice Awards, so it’s time for a new winner.

The Critics’ Choice Television Awards ceremony will be held on Monday, June 10. Check out the complete list of nominations at The Critics’ Choice Awards page.
